District Nurses

District nurses provide home nursing for acutely and chronically sick patients who CANNOT get to the surgery. They can be contacted on Rustington 859307. If they are not in, a message can be left on their answer phone or, alternatively, with the receptionist.

Community Midwives

The Community midwives provide antenatal and postnatal care jointly with your doctor. Together with the health visitor they hold antenatal and parent craft classes.

They can be contacted on the maternity bleep or on Bramber Ward at Worthing Hospital 01903 285144.

Health Visitors

A team of health visitors provide health advice and support for families with babies and children under five. They are also involved in monitoring your child's development. They work within the community and can be contacted on Rustington 787071. A message can be left on their answer phone. The health visitors also run a number of groups including a postnatal group, baby massage and courses on self esteem and assertiveness. You can book a place on any of these courses through the health visitors. Clinics are held in both Rustington and Angmering and are for babies under six months. Please contact the health visitors for dates and times.

Counsellor

A fully trained counsellor is available by referral from the GP.

Audiologist

An audiologist attends the surgery once a month and patients can be referred by a clinician or self refer. The hearing check is free but any aids supplied by the audiologist will be charged to the patient. However, if you would prefer, the audiologist can refer you to the hospital for treatment under the NHS.

NHS Physiotherapy

This is available locally by arrangement with your doctor.

Non-NHS Services

A private acupuncturist, a private physiotherapist and a private chiropodist also work in Willow Green Surgery. These co-workers provide services outside the NHS for which they charge a fee. Details and appointments can be obtained from the reception desk.
