Nurse
A family planning nurse is available
by appointment to give advice on all
aspects of family planning.
You may
be asked to attend a special clinic
for coil fitting.
The ‘morning after
pill’ or ‘emergency pill’ can be
prescribed and is effective up to 72
hours after a ‘contraceptive
accident’. Pre-conceptual advice is
available from our family planning
nurse for patients considering
pregnancy. Young women aged 20 and
under can receive free pregnancy
testing, advice and referral to
counselling and support services.
