We at Willow Green are delighted to hear that Patient Link, a vital transport solutions for our patients, are looking to get their service back up and running, hopefully in late August.

Patient Link is a charity that supplies transport for patients who would otherwise struggle to get to their appointments. They offer lifts to local hospitals, local clinics and of course to us here at Willow Green. This service is a life line to patients who are unable to drive and are on limited means. They only ask for suggested donations which works out cheaper then taxis. These donations go towards funding the service and any excess goes toward vital equipment for the surgery. For example the blood pressure machine in the waiting room was funded by Patient Link.

The service is operated by volunteers, most are patients here at Willow Green. The service simply would not be able to run without the generosity of people giving time.

Can you spare some time?

During the pandemic, Volunteer numbers have fallen for different reasons and therefore Patient Link are currently recruiting volunteers.

Would you be willing to spare a few hours a week or month?

Could you drive patients who would struggle otherwise to get to the surgery?

Are you good with logistics and would enjoy the challenge of scheduling drivers with patients?

Could you help in fundraising events?
